Choose between Prolene®, ultra-polyester, polypropylene, Mylar®, polycarbonate or polyimide support materials based on their ability to safely retain specimen during preparation and analysis stages, permit maximum analyte-line transmittance, and provide statistically reproducible analytical data. Considerations for selecting an appropriate thin-film material include resistance of material to degradation by the analyte, analyte concentration/wavelength, thin-film purity and thin-film thickness uniformity. Chemplex® thin-film sample support substances are manufactured to very close tolerances (1 to 2% within a single package).
